Beauty Pavilion

Learn from the experts on creating your own style in the Beauty Bar. This Fashion & Beauty Pavilion will introduce festival attendees to new products and services that help maintain or create a New Look! From hair to makeup, this pavilion features industry leaders and newly emerging brands while spotlighting the newest trends for influential retail buyers.


BrownGirl Village (BGV)

BGV, Sponsored by ShopRite, is an experience for young brown girls. This tent is comprised of photo sessions, charm classes, Brown Girl Entrepreneurs and more. This experience will also showcase hair care, etiquette and fashion tips for our maturing young ladies. There will also be special celebrity guests and a teen make-up artist on-site to assist the young ladies with attaining the look they desire. This is an exciting experience that truly shows how Brown Girls ROCK!!!



Community Connections

Join the movement as we showcase the strength of communities and the bond between people working together. This interactive festival partnership between Outward Bound and the Baltimore Police Department engages attendees in team building activities with police officers. The area will include obstacle course games and exercises designed to bring us closer together.



Culture Village

Experience a world of cultures from Africa to the Caribbean and beyond.
Tantalize your senses with live music, delicious food, creative dance and unique cultural crafts! Genealogy and Ancestry Sessions connect attendees with their lineage. The Culture Village introduces attendees to the African Diaspora in a way that will make them excited to learn more about the different cultures that make us one.



Empowerment Tent

The Empowerment Tent is a focal point of this year’s festival. This experience includes panels and keynotes from some of the nations leading voices on topics from relationships and politics to entrepreneurship. Our invited guests include New York Times Best selling Author Zane, Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant, Terrie Williams, Kwame Jackson, Senator Catherine Pugh, Alfred Edmonds, Cyrene Tankard, R&B Diva Brave Williams, Media Mogul Armstrong Williams and more.



Festival Live

XFINITY Live, sponsored by Comcast and Music Choice, is the hub of the festival’s social media experience onsite and will feature a Twitter wall, live performances and must-see celebrity interviews. Music Choice will be interviewing artists and celebrities, providing candid conversations and behind-the-scenes footage from XFINITY Live. Health and Wellness Pavilion

The Health & Wellness Pavilion presented by Care First is committed to promoting total health and well-being at the festival. A centerpiece of the festival, this experience hosts several health-related screenings, including those for cancer, diabetes, glucose, BMI, blood pressure and oral health. Festival attendees will have the opportunity obtain health screenings and evaluations as well as participate in fitness demonstrations and receive information on achieving optimal health.



Next Level

Next Level is the festival’s career and education experience. From higher education to job opportunities, this festival activation features experts, coaches, and recruiters to help attendees on their career path. Get 1-on-1 consultations for job interviews, learn about jobs in specific career tracks or consider a college education. Don’t miss this opportunity to have a seasoned pro give your resume a “checkup” and help you market yourself better in the ever-changing job market!



STEM Nation

Looking for Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) experiences, then check out the STEM Nation Pavilion. Designed to support a love for technology, this experience creates a space for innovation and experimentation that is unique to this festival. STEM Nation provides attendees with a chance to explore tomorrow’s technology in areas such as renewable energy, robotics, space tourism, virtual reality and other exciting fields. Participation in STEM Nation will provide attendees with interactive exhibits and demonstrations where knowledge and problem solving abilities are put to the test.
